About

Calvin Guillot is an artist from Bogotá, Colombia, based in Helsinki, Finland.  Through visual stories, interactive installations, immersive experiences, and large-scale pieces, he aim to uncover new ways to engage with the world around us and I seek to minimise the ego of the audience by exploring the sublime, infinitism, and identity. His goal is to push the boundaries of what is possible at the intersection of art, science, and technology. He believes that the context is the most fundamental part of an art piece, thus rather than a common style or idea, what govern my practice is a common process of discovery, experimentation and play.

His practice encompasses a range of mediums, from traditional painting and street art, generative art and AI, to parametric sculpture and artificial synthetic life. Natural processes, emergent behaviours, human connection, and social conflict are some of the things that inspire his practice.

Atlas the alter-ego of Calvin, is a faceless and timeless voyager, bound to carry the weight of a world filled with love, pain, life, and death. In every performance, a distinct experience is crafted, weaving together artificial and human emotions. His art is an interplay of horror and beauty, a dance between the real and the imaginary, and the merging of flesh and metal.
